Information about "Eagles‘ Nest Constantia Reserve Viognier 2022"

The Eagles' Nest Constantia Reserve Viognier proudly displays its light golden colour in the glass. The nose reveals enticing aromas of ripe yellow stone fruit, complemented by subtle citrus notes. In the glass, delicate floral notes and spices beguile the palate, revealing a refined and delicate wine with delicious aromas of ripe tropical fruit, spices and subtle mineral nuances. It is characterised by its versatility, with a soft, long and spicy finish!

The integrated acidity and freshness, which testify to its cool climate Constantia origin, are wonderfully balanced by the balanced wood ageing.

Treatment in the cellar The vines are grown in the cool climate Constantia Valley at altitudes between 100 and 400 metres above sea level. The premium, clear juice was bottled 10% in 500-litre French oak barrels, 45% in 2-litre barrels and 45% in 3-litre barrels. Fermentation temperatures were relatively low, peaking at 18 ºC. After six months of ageing, selected barrels were blended and harmonised.
