The Diemersfontein Carpe Diem Pinotage Reserve 2023 unfolds an elegant style, enticing with aromas of raspberry, cherry, and a hint of fragrant pencil shavings. On the palate, layers of ripe plum and dark berries create a luxurious experience, beautifully rounded with ultra-smooth tannins. A superb expression of South Africa, illustrating both depth and grace.
The grapes for this award-winning Pinotage were hand-harvested in the early morning and crushed in stainless steel tanks upon arrival at the winery. Using selected yeasts, the wine underwent frequent pumping to maximize aroma and color extraction. Post fermentation, it matured for 16 months in a blend of new French and American oak barrels.
