Exuding a deep, dark violet hue, the DeMorgenzon Reserve Syrah enchants with captivating aromas of ripe berries, luscious red plums, and subtle hints of white pepper. As it opens up, enticing floral notes of violets, lavender, and spring blooms emerge, enriching the aromatic landscape. On the palate, this distinguished wine offers a full-bodied opulence, brimming with youthful vitality. Flavors of warm spice, cinnamon, clove, and vanilla unfurl gracefully, supported by smoothly integrated oak notes that enhance the wine's exceptional elegance and rounded harmony.
The grapes for the DeMorgenzon Reserve Syrah underwent temperature-controlled fermentation with regular cap submersion. Following fermentation, the wine and skins were pressed, and malolactic fermentation took place in selected oak barrels. The wine matured for 10 months in 300L French oak barrels, followed by another ten months in 3000L oak casks (25% new wood) and concrete tanks.
