DeMorgenzon DMZ Syrah 2022 captures the senses with its vivid interplay of colors, transitioning from deep violet to a striking blue rim. Aromas of ripe berries harmonize beautifully with rich dark plums and a hint of white pepper, enticing from the first moment. Floral undertones of violet and lavender float subtly in the background, elevating the overall experience. On the palate, this Syrah is full-bodied and generous, boasting layers of fruitful complexity combined with warm spices such as pepper, cinnamon, clove, and vanilla. The gentle oak integration further enhances the wine’s exquisite elegance and balanced harmony.
The grapes for the DeMorgenzon Syrah were hand-harvested and de-stemmed, fermenting in stainless steel tanks. A portion was fermented whole cluster, with temperatures managed between 22°C and 27°C. Post-fermentation, the wine was pressed on the skins and underwent malolactic fermentation in barrels. It matured for 12 months in a mix of small French barriques, 3000 L foudré, and concrete tanks.
