The Cape Point Vineyards Noordhoek Sauvignon Blanc impresses with its coastal freshness, blending notes of white peach, fig, and a touch of floral fynbos. The ocean enchants your glass, with hints of grapefruit and oyster shells, washing over your palate with the essence of Noordhoek beach. The palate reveals a spectrum of elegant fruit layers, complemented by a steely minerality and lively acidity that provides a long-lasting finish.
Produced by the distinguished Riandri Visser, this highly regarded Sauvignon Blanc incorporates 2% Sémillon from six different vineyard parcels on the Cape Point estate, resulting in an exceptionally taut, clear, and linear style. It showcases aromas of herby fynbos vegetation and fresh sea breeze, merging beautifully with a remarkable focus and a hint of yeasty weight.
The hand-harvested grapes were whole-bunch pressed, and the resulting juice was left to settle for twelve hours before fermentation in stainless steel tanks (97%) and barrel (3%) at temperatures between 16 – 20 °C. Following fermentation, the wine matured on its lees for eight months before blending with a splash of Sémillon (2%).
