Information about "Buitenverwachting Christine 2018"

This exquisite Bordeaux blend presents captivating aromas of ripe cherries, black currants, fragrant tobacco, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it expresses a seamless balance with a rich fruit density and fine tannin structure, establishing Buitenverwachting Christine as one of South Africa's most desirable red wines.

This blend is predominantly crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon (71%), while Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot offer added depth, structure, and nuance.

With a deeply rooted history and a prestigious estate, this wine lives up to its name: Buitenverwachting – truly beyond expectations.

Treatment in the cellar Harvested mainly in mid-March, the must undergoes a long maceration period of about 28 days, enhancing color and tannin richness. Fermented under controlled conditions, the wine ages generously in new French oak barrels for approximately 30 months, gaining structure, depth, and harmoniously integrated wood notes.
