Boschendal Lanoy 2022 is a harmonious blend that impressively embodies the heritage of South African winemaking. This exquisite mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot seduces with lush aromas of blackcurrants, ripe plums, and a fine hint of spice. On the palate, the wine presents a round and fruit-forward profile, thanks to brief oak aging. The dark berry notes align remarkably with mature tannins, leading to a lingering and rich finish that reflects the wine's charm and charisma.
The fermentation varied by grape variety, lasting between eight to ten days to achieve optimal dryness, color, and aroma. Ten percent of the wine aged in new French oak barrels, while 15% rested in second-fill barrels, and 25% in third-fill barrels for one year. The remaining was matured in large oak casks and stainless steel tanks.
