The refined Boschendal Elgin Chardonnay enchants with a lively floral aroma that unveils notes of grapefruit, Golden Delicious apples, and lime blossom, complemented by a whisper of frangipani and subtle vanilla hints. On the palate, the wine is beautifully balanced, featuring fresh acidity, smooth tannins, and an impressive complexity that lingers through a long finish. A quintessential representation of cool-climate Chardonnay.
Die Chardonnay-Trauben fermentierten unter Einsatz ausgewählter Hefekulturen zunächst in Tanks aus Edelstahl, wobei jedoch noch vor Abschluss der Gärung 70% des Safts entnommen und in französische Eichenfässer umgefüllt wurde. Nach Beendigung der Fermentierung reifte der Wein noch weitere 12 Monate auf der feinen Hefe in Fässern aus französischer Eiche.
