Women’s Celebration: Strong Women in Wine
Magazin | Journal Events, Südafrika
If you’ve been following us, you know we always celebrate women in the wine cellar. Today, we have a special occasion. The media frequently discusses the gender pay gap and the invaluable care work women perform. There's hardly anything women cannot do as well as men, usually without a hitch. ;-)
Focusing specifically on the wine industry in the Cape is our forte. What can we say? The success of women there is remarkable. We can't think of anything the best men do better than their female colleagues, especially regarding product quality.
This week, you will find an exquisite selection of outstanding wines from equally remarkable female winemakers in our shop, all at special prices.
Before you rush there, we want to take a moment to honor the strong women on our own team. Without them, much wouldn’t be possible. We wouldn't be active on social media or be able to advertise (Steffi), our processes would be chaotic, and we couldn't clear a single wine bottle (Vanessa). We wouldn’t send newsletters or present detailed winery information (Simone and Silke). There would be no clear texts on grape varieties or wine regions (Gaby) or even products in the shop. We would lack wine descriptions, analytical data, and images (Claudia 1, Claudia 2, Ingrid).
In short, we'd be lost. Women’s Day gives us men (Maik and Thomas) the opportunity to state this loudly and thank you – surely on behalf of our customers whose wine cellars would otherwise be less colorful.
In hopes that you and our team continue to bring each other lasting joy, we wish you a lovely remainder of the week.
