Silo Concerts: Music Returns to the Waterfront

Silo Concerts, a series of music events featuring local artists presented free to the public, are back to entertain visitors in the Silo District at the Waterfront. The 2022/23 season has started.

This year, Silo Concerts have partnered with Hendricks Gin to continue the event established in 2018. These memorable concerts were put on hold during the pandemic, and now artists return with fresh and exciting energy.

Concerts at the Waterfront

The Waterfront has previously showcased orchestras, jazz, and kwela bands, as well as artists such as Amanda Black and The Soil. This season, visitors can look forward to a diverse concert program kicking off with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Silo concerts are held every first Friday of the month at 7 PM opposite the Zeitz MOCAA, continuing until April 2023.

“After a two-year hiatus, we are thrilled that the Silo Concerts are back to provide our visitors with a fantastic show while supporting and showcasing the best local talent,” says Tinyiko Mageza, V&A Waterfront Marketing Manager.

“Music has always been a force that brings people together, and the thought of our visitors gathering in song and dance in the Silo District fills us with joy,” he continues.

All concerts are free, which is another beloved Waterfront tradition. A space where everyone can gather and enjoy great music at no cost.
