The Beyerskloof Winemaker's Reserve Pinotage delights with bold notes of cherry, red berries, cassis, and plum, elegantly complemented by hints of cedar. On the palate, it strikes a perfect balance with great smoothness and a long, satisfying finish.
This wine is a testament to the expertise of the father-son team, Beyers and Anri Truter. Selected from ten barrels, it highlights the unique traits of the vintage, resulting in a multi-layered wine that showcases the finest qualities of a premium Pinotage.
After harvest, the grapes fermented for five days in open tanks, hand-punched every two hours. Fermentation occurred at temperatures of 25-28°C. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 17 months in a combination of 50% new and 50% used barrels.
