Exuding a rich dark red color with a ruby rim, the Beyerskloof Pinotage Reserve presents itself with aromas of ripe blackberries and plums, enhanced by a backdrop of sweet cedar. The palate reveals a delightful medley of black fruit and damson, elegantly intertwined with aromatic cedar notes. Characterized by superb structure, this wine achieves a fine balance and a lasting, juicy finish.
Remarkably, it pairs wonderfully with a decadent dark chocolate soufflé!
Fermented in open tanks with manual 'punch downs' for four days at temperatures between 25 and 27°C. Following malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, the wine aged for 14 months in French barriques, composed of 10% new oak and 90% second-use barrels.
