Information about "Bellingham The Bernard Series Bushvine Pinotage 2022"
The Bellingham The Bernard Series Bushvine Pinotage embodies the spirit of South Africa's flagship grape with remarkable elegance. Its deep red color, accented by violet glints, leads to a bouquet that embraces black cherries, ripe mulberries, and raspberry preserve. Following this are nuanced notes of plum pudding, smoked meat, and savory truffles, all beautifully complemented by gentle oak integration that lingers in a long, juicy finish.
The Bernard Series honors the tenacity and unconventional spirit of Bernard Podlashuk, co-founder of Bellingham.
The hand-harvested grapes from dry-farmed, low-yield bush vines were meticulously selected for this process and fermented in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine aged for 12 months in oak barriques, of which 6% were new wood.
