The Bellevue Reserve Collection Pinotage 2020 is defined by its remarkable depth and concentrated character. Aromas of raspberry, maraschino cherry, and ripe plum meld seamlessly with a touch of elegant cedar wood. On the palate, these delightful flavors unfold, supported by velvety, fine tannins that lead to a prolonged, harmonious finish. The sustainably grown Bellevue Pinotage vines yield grapes that offer both fruit intensity and rich flavor complexity.
Treatment in the cellar
Die Trauben aus Weinbergen, die 1996 bepflanzt wurden, wurden vier Tage lang kalt mazeriert, bevor die Beimpfung erfolgte. Die Gärung fand in Tanks statt, mit drei täglich belüfteten Umpumpvorgängen. Nach der alkoholischen Gärung wurden die Schalen abgepresst, der Wein geklärt und von der Hefe abgezogen. Er durchlief eine spontane malolaktische Gärung in 300‑Liter‑Fässern aus französischer Eiche (50 % neu, 50 % Zweitbelegung) und reifte anschließend 22 Monate.
