Die handgelesenen Trauben wurden entrappt, mit großer Sorgfalt für den weiteren Produktionsverlauf ausgewählt und in offenen Gärbehältern mit einer Fassungsmenge von fünf Tonnen fermentiert. Nach dem Pressen fand die malolaktische Fermentierung in Fässern aus zu 50 % neuer französischer Eiche sowie zu 50 % zweitbefüllter französischer Eiche statt. Der Wein reifte 20 Monate lang in französischen Barriques.
