The Beau Constantia Aidan delights with its deep ruby hue, a precursor to its intense aromatic experience. The nose reveals an enticing bouquet of ripe dark fruits, including cassis, blackberries, and luscious plums, enhanced by delicate spice notes. On the palate, the complex flavors unfold seamlessly, with hints of olive tapenade and fresh leather adding depth, while a refined saline minerality connects the wine to its maritime origins. This opulent blend of Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot presents elegant tannins and culminates in a long, silky finish.
Die Trauben für diesen erstklassigen Tropfen wurden per Hand gelesen und Beere für Beere mit großer Sorgfalt für die weitere Produktion ausgewählt. Die Fermentierung fand in kleinen Gärtanks statt. Ein eher moderner Ansatz, in Kombination mit einer kürzeren Quellphase von lediglich 15 Tagen auf der Haut, hat eine hoch exklusive und erstklassige rote Cuvée im Neuwelt-Stil hervorgebracht. Ein Stil, der es besonders der Sorten Malbec und Petit Verdot erlaubt, mit herrlich reifen Fruchtnoten durchzuscheinen. Der Wein reifte 18 Monate lang in Fässern aus französischer Eiche, von denen 50% Neuholz, 35 % zweitbefülltes 15% drittbelegtes Holz ausmachten.
