Alto Rouge flows into the glass with a deep ruby hue, revealing a robust bouquet of ripe blackberry, pine needles, and dried fig, with nuances of smoked meat and fine oak spice. The 2023 vintage is a standout, celebrating an impressive 100 consecutive years of Alto Rouge. This full-bodied wine showcases soft yet muscular tannins that add a lively freshness to its balanced structure, ensuring its remarkable aging capability.
This iconic wine is a blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Shiraz, 23% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, and 1% Merlot.
Das Traubengut wurde handverlesen, woraufhin die unterschiedlichen Rebsorten separat bei einer kontrollierten Temperatur zwischen 25°C und 27°C in Tanks aus Edelstahl fermentierten. Der Wein reifte nach Abschluss der Gärung 14-16 Monate lang in Fässern aus französischer Eiche.
