The Alinea Viura shines with its layered texture and intriguing complexity. Initially, dusty, flint-like notes present themselves, evolving to reveal citrus blossom and elderflower aromas. On the palate, intense flavors of citrus and winter melon delight, concluding with a long, mineral finish that enriches the overall experience.
The vineyards are located in Paarl, where the vines are deeply rooted in weathered granite soils. Grapes were harvested in the last week of February. Whole bunches were gently pressed, with juice left to settle overnight before being transferred to fermentation and aging in barrels. Spontaneous fermentation occurred in old 600-liter French oak barrels, with the wine remaining on fine lees for ten months before bottling.
