Die Trauben für diesen Wein stammen aus Devon Valley und Polkadraai in Stellenbosch. Die kühlenden Meeresbrisen entlang der Küste helfen hier, die natürliche Säure zu bewahren, während das warme Klima der Region für reife Fruchtaromen und duftige Nuancen sorgte.
Die Chenin Blanc- und Chardonnay-Trauben wurden als ganze Trauben gepresst und anschließend langsam und kühl in neuen sowie gebrauchten Eichenfässern vergoren. Anschließend reifte der Wein sechs Monate lang auf der Feinhefe, um die Textur zu verfeinern. Ein Anteil von 18 % neuem Eichenholz trug zur Fülle und zum Mundgefühl des Weins bei.
