The Adi Badenhorst Secateurs Red Blend ensnares the nose with a perfume-like bouquet of red berries, fine pepper aromas and fragrant spices. On the palate, this exciting Swartland blend pampers with a smooth texture. The attack is incredibly soft with a wonderful grip and freshness, to end in a dry and refreshing finish with stunningly fine tannins.
Alle Trauben für diese rote Cuvée wurden per Hand gelesen, über Nacht gekühlt und anschließend zerquetscht in Tanks aus Beton gegeben, wo die natürlich primäre Fermentierung stattfand, welche gewöhnlich zwei Wochen Zeit in Anspruch nimmt. Die Betontanks wurden in diesen zwei Wochen zweimal täglich per Beinkraft gestampft. Der fertige Wein wurde in alte Fässer und in Betontanks abgefüllt. Die Cuvée reifte sieben Monate auf der Hefe in Fässern und in Betontanks, bevor sie in Flaschen abgefüllt wurde. Der Wein wurde leicht gefiltert, jedoch nicht verfeinert.
