Vineyard Meerlust Wine Estate
Long known for producing world class wines, the Meerlust Estate has been the pride and joy of the Myburgh family since 1756. Today, the dedication to the art of winemaking continues in the eighth generation under the leadership of Hannes Myburgh, who passionately manages the 17th-century national monument.
Meerlust is located 15 km south of Stellenbosch, just 5 km from the crescent-shaped blue False Bay. Wines are created exclusively from grapes grown in the Estates, which is uniquely positioned to produce wines of outstanding complexity and character.
Chris Williams was appointed cellarmaster of the Meerhof Estates in 2004. The estate produces a range of fine red wines including the famous Rubicon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir, all aged in French oak.
