Vineyard Kanonkop
The Kanonkop Winery is situated on the lower slopes of the Simonsberg in the Stellenbosch region of the Western Cape and falls within the so-called Simonsberg area, which is generally referred to as the "red wine basin" of South Africa. This area has gained a reputation both domestically and internationally as South Africa's best wine growing region.
Kanonkop is a fourth-generation family winery covering 125 hectares of which 100 hectares are planted with vines.
Kanonkop Estate is known by connoisseurs as the South African equivalent of a 'Premier Cru' or 'First Growth'. International awards, gained over a decade, support these claims.
