The barbecue season is upon us and the question arises as to which wine goes best with barbecue food! Whether with grilled vegetables, fish, shellfish or meat, wine is a great accompaniment to barbecued food.

We recommend crisp, fresh white wines with salads, fish, seafood or poultry. A rosé is also perfect with salads and side dishes! Please chill well! A fruity Semillon or Chenin Blanc is the perfect choice with chicken breast, turkey or fish such as trout or char.

Red wines are more suitable for meat variations with savoury marinades. Fruity red wines also taste best slightly chilled in summer.

Pinot Noir goes very well with rump steaks, fillets or other types of steak that have been prepared savourily or with herbs. A fine olive oil is also a must for barbecues, for dipping, marinating or for a delicious dressing!
