Vineyard Crystallum
Brothers Andrew and Peter-Allan Finlayson, sons of the famous Peter Finlayson of Bouchard-Finlayson, form the dedicated team behind Crystallum. Their father is known for being the first to bring Pinot Noir to the "Hemel-en-Aarde Valley" thanks to his Pinonian spirit. Actually Andrew is a trained architect and Peter-Allan studied philosophy and economics at the University of Stellenbosch. However, it was not long before the lure of wine drew the two brothers, who form the third generation of the Finlayson wine family, back to the wine cellar.
The Crystallum winery was founded in 2007 with an initial production of 4134 bottles of Sauvignon Blanc. The 2008 vintage also saw the start of production of the Burgundy varieties Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which are now the exclusive varieties in Crystallum's premium wine portfolio. With great success! 4 and 5-star ratings in South Africa's famous Platters Wine Guide, as well as remarkable awards and prizes, bear witness to Crystallums' outstanding quality.
