Vineyard Excelsior Estate
One and a half hours from Cape Town, on the famous Route 62, is the Robertson Valley Winelands, home of Excelsior.
Since 1859, the de Wet family has been cultivating the historic estate with passion and expertise. At Excelsior, we follow the philosophy that good wine is made in the vineyard and that the winemaker can only be successful if he has the right ingredients. Cellar master and winemaker Johan Stemmet's goal is to create full-bodied wines with intense fruit, which are realized through strict winemaking methods.
Excelsior's extensive portfolio of award winning wines is led by Evanthius Cabernet Sauvignon and San Louis Shiraz Reserve, both of which have been awarded 4 Platter Stars by South Africa's most renowned wine guide.
