The Plaisir Merlot unveils a radiant garnet color with a vivid ruby edge, releasing enticing fragrances of violet, sweet plums, and dark fruits alongside subtle hints of graphite. This decadent Merlot envelops the palate with delightful layers of ripe plums and blackberries, achieving a flawless balance of tannins and acidity. Its generous, intricate nature leaves a lasting impression of length and sophistication.
The grapes were hand-harvested at optimal ripeness from two distinct vineyards, destemmed upon arrival, meticulously sorted, and placed in stainless steel tanks for fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24°C. Daily pumping over maximized extraction of color, tannins, and flavor nuances. After fermentation, the wine spent six to eight months on skins before pressing, undergoing malolactic fermentation partly in oak barrels and partly in tank, finally aged in 300L French Barriques (35% new wood) for 12 to 16 months before blending and bottling.
