The Plaisir Grand Plaisir reveals itself in a brilliant garnet hue with a deep plum center, enticing the senses with a fragrant bouquet of red berries, black mulberries, and plums, alongside delicate hints of aromatic cedar and dried herbs. This Bordeaux-style red wine blend (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petit Verdot, and 10% each of Malbec and Merlot) impresses with an engaging purity and sumptuous fullness on the palate, wrapping the senses in delightful flavors of ripe cherries, plums, blueberries, and apricots. A remarkably generous wine with a subtle touch of spice on the mid-palate and a graceful finish featuring taut yet velvety tannins.
The grapes were hand-harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented for 9 to 11 days in small stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24°C. During fermentation, juice was regularly pumped over to extract maximum color, tannins, and aromas. After fermentation, the wine spent 3 to 7 days on skins before being drained and transferred to barrels, where malolactic fermentation occurred. The wine aged for 18 months in 300-litre French barriques, and only the finest barrels were blended before the cuvée underwent an additional six months of aging in used barrels before being roughly filtered and bottled.
