Illuminated by its brilliant straw color, the Miles Mossop The Introduction Chenin Blanc 2024 captivates with enticing Chenin aromas. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of white flowers, ripe peaches, pineapple, and zesty citrus. On the palate, it begins with refreshing fruitiness, showcasing notes of grapefruit and stone fruit. The mid-palate is creamy yet perfectly balanced, culminating in a structured, vibrant finish that highlights its stunning freshness.
Treatment in the cellar
The grapes are harvested by hand at different times and degrees of ripeness to express both the fresh stone fruit notes of Chenin Blanc and the more mature notes of yellow fruit, while preserving acidity and freshness.
The grapes were pressed whole and clarified overnight in the tank. 80% of the wine fermented in stainless steel tanks, 18% in old 400-litre French oak barrels and 2% in a concrete egg.
Fermentation began with natural yeasts and lasted about three weeks. The wines matured on the coarse lees for six months before being blended and bottled.
The wine was bottled in August 2023.
