This full-bodied barrel-aged Cabernet embodies the best traits from both Old and New Worlds. Flavors of ripe cassis and delicate marzipan envelop the palate, resulting in a wine of elegant structure and lingering finish.
The Cape Leopard Trust
In the mountains of the Cape Winelands, a small population of Cape leopards resides. This species is critically endangered, being only half the size of its northern cousins. The Cape Leopard Trust, with substantial support from Leopard’s Leap Wines, diligently works to protect these majestic creatures and their habitat.
Die Trauben für den Leopard's Leap Cabernet Sauvignon stammen aus Südafrikas Perdeberg und Swartland Region. Die Fermentation findet bei einer kontrollierten Temperatur von 28 bis 30C° statt mit regelmäßigem Umwälzen und "Punch Downs". Anschlieβend reifte der Wein 12 Monate lang zu 30% in zweitbefüllten Fässern aus französischer Eiche und der Rest für die gleiche Dauer auf Eichenstaven.

Wir haben den Wein auf unserer Afrika Rundreise entdeckt. Er schmeckt zu Hause wie dort! Er ist trocken und passt sehr gut zum italienischen Essen. Vielen Dank, dass er in Deutschland erhältlich ist.
