Today the exquisite portfolio of Donkiesbaai products includes the Donkiesbaai Steen (a pure Chenin Blanc), the Donkiesbaai Pinot Noir and an excellent straw wine, the Donkiesbaai Hooiwijn. Olive oil and balsamico are also part of the highly endowed and award-winning range.

Jean Engelbrecht, winemaker and owner of the Donkiesbaai Winery and the legendary Rust en Vrede Winery, associates Donkiesbaai with a long family tradition of simply outstanding and remarkable wines. He skilfully combines a number of different elements and trends - traditional family history, product designation and packaging with pride in Afrikaans, and by no means last to mention - outstanding winemaking art! The Donkiesbaai boutique wine range is a tribute to Donkin Bay, where the Engelbrechts have spent their holidays for generations - always with a well-chilled glass of Chenin Blanc at hand, of course!

To many, this area seems rough, barren and strange - even desert-like. But for those who have experienced the extraordinary energy and unspoiled beauty of nature, this area becomes a life-enhancing place.
