The Constantia Glen Two is a captivating masterpiece presented in a delicate pale gold, subtly shaded with fresh lime green. It reveals elegant herbal notes intertwined with inviting hints of lime, green fig, and floral undertones alongside soft oak nuances. This initial aromatic display is followed by a complex array of vibrant tropical fruits that enchant the palate. The refined mouthfeel, attributed to the Sémillon component, is balanced magnificently by a naturally vibrant acidity and crystal-clear fruit expression. This white blend, featuring 64% Sauvignon Blanc and 36% Sémillon, offers a dynamic intensity and exceptional fruit concentration. With a rich and luscious character alongside a finely textured mouthfeel, this wine does not disappoint. Its finesse and sophisticated balance are truly stunning.
The grapes for this Bordeaux-style white blend were handpicked from the finest vineyard sites, whole-cluster pressed, and fermented in 600-liter barrels. After fermentation, the wine matured on lees for seven months in 600-liter French oak barrels, with 17% new oak. The remainder of the barrels were previously used one to seven times. The careful selection of the best barrels resulted in a wine of incredible fruit concentration with only subtle oak influences.
