The Boekenhoutskloof Sémillon reveals a delicate golden hue, captivating the senses with a bouquet of fragrant orange blossoms, ripe nectarines, aromatic lemongrass, and rich beeswax. On the palate, it starts gently, unveiling alluring notes of white peaches, mandarin, refined lemon cream, lime syrup, ginger, blood orange, and tarragon. This impressively full-bodied and opulent wine maintains a clear focus through its balanced acidity, providing a delightful lift to the intensity of the mid-palate. It concludes with a vibrant, subtly saline finish, echoing hints of poached quince, chamomile flowers, and fenugreek.
Das Traubengut wurde bei optimalem Reifegrad per Hand gelesen. Die Gärung erfolgte in Barriques, Ton Amphoren und Beton-Lagares. Nach Abschluss der Fermentierung reifte der Wein 14 Monate lang bei einer geregelten Temperatur von 5 bis 8°C. Der kleine Anteil des Muscat d'Alexandrie wurde auf den Schalen vergoren und in Tonamphoren gereift.
