Product information "Adi Badenhorst Secateurs Red Blend 2019"
The Adi Badenhorst Secateurs Red Blend ensnares the nose with a perfume-like bouquet of red berries, fine pepper aromas and fragrant spices. On the palate, this exciting Swartland blend pampers with a smooth texture. The attack is incredibly soft with a wonderful grip and freshness, to end in a dry and refreshing finish with stunningly fine tannins.
All the grapes for this red cuvée were picked by hand, cooled overnight and then crushed and placed in concrete tanks where the natural primary fermentation took place, which usually takes two weeks. The concrete tanks were rammed twice a day by leg strength during these two weeks. The finished wine was put into old barrels and into concrete tanks. The cuvée matured for 7 months on the lees in barrels and in concrete tanks before being bottled. The wine was lightly filtered but not refined.
